If your like me, you like storing your keys in your vehicle so you always have access to your rental property no matter where you are.

Imagine, your away from your office and a tenant calls and they have locked Portable key case 24 keythemselves out of their home.  It might be well out of your way to go back to your office, pick up a key, then drive to the rental property. Or another scenario that’s happened to me many times, I get to a rental property to do a repair and I don’t have a key … what a headache! The solution is a portable key organizer.

Stop rifling through your messy key entanglement and get a portable key holder. They have portable key binders that holds quiet a few keys and fits neatly under most vehicle seats. Here is an example made by SteelMaster of a portable binder that holds up to 48 keys and measures approx 12″ X 9″ X 1 3/8″.  Read more about the best portable key case here.  This key case can be found on Amazon. durable portable key binderA more durable portable option

They have a more durable portable key box that is made of steel and also holds 48 keys (left). Comes complete with 48 key tags.  The measurements are approx 10″ X 9″ X 3 1/2″ and weighs about 3 1/2 pounds.

Personally I like the portable steel box because it will last forever and will still fit under most vehicle seats or in your trunk if you drive a car. I also like the key tags a bit better. If your more concerned with the weight of the key holder, the vinyl binder by SteelMaster would be better. But I think either one of these portable key organizers would work just fine for your needs. Hi Dwight,

Like any other job, it has a set of problems. But the worst problems are the ones we don’t have solutions for. Fortunately, organizing keys as a landlord is easy enough to fix.
